    Value

Marriott points are definitely really cool in that you have transfer options from many convertible currencies. In addition, it can be converted to other airlines’ miles as well.

Marriott has credit cards with both Chase and American Express, so there are many ways to acquire points. In order to best understand how valuable your points are, it is best to use the Marriott Redemption Chart and compare to the cash price of the same night. The value you get heavily relies on the average price in cash vs the cost in points. I recommend only using Marriott points when you are getting at least 0.75 cents per point

I value Marriott Points at 0.75 cents per point. However, keep in mind it is not impossible to get more value.

Points expire after 24 months of inactivity.
